I've spent a total of 2 hours at horse racetracks in my life,
They seem peaceful places to successfully get away from strife. The horses are well taken care of, they each have their own room, The verb used by trainers in their care of horses--to "groom". Was at a restaurant this AM--saw two men sitting, One was well groomed and combed, the other's hair, direction splitting. The first had obviously taken care of his hair before leaving the house, The second looked like he had spent the night in a burrow with a mouse. Does the second not care?--his hair all askonce, A comb had not been used, not even once! What a man is and does is more important than his look, But just a little grooming can make you not appear as a relative of Captain Hook. Not everyone can appear as a movie star, Brad Pitt or Ted Danson, But just a little attention can keep you from resembling the murderer Manson. How you appear says something about what's in your head, Some folks' appearance--the 4 inches between the ears--made of lead. While sitting here complaining about others' appearance, I notice my watchband, speckled with last weekend's paint, my emotion--fearance! What might others think of my soiled timepiece? less than top notched? My argument for good grooming--the logic suddenly seems botched? Horror of horrors--perhaps I have something in common with Mr. Ungroom, Maybe I have more in common with him than anybody else in the room. Dave Hale Ottawa, Ks 5/31/12 hale-agency.com |
