In Spanish, the term for 72 is setenta y dos,
Having made it to this age...some ideas, inventa y dos. Situations present themselves, some out of the blue, People from your past just show up, who knew? Next week is my 50th college reunion, at last, Went to my 50th high school reunion--well, 4 years have passed. My wife and I laugh at the several who commented on my height, "Did you grow after high school?" Doesn't everyone increase their might? This getting older is someone like stopping at a lookout while on a hike, Occasionally, stopping to enjoy the view, the years since a tyke. I know next week I will see and meet people who know me and I don't know, People will relate stories that involve me, do I remember? No. Or better, the look on someone's face when you tell others of when, And they remember not and think you lie..eight on a scale of ten. Met Alan Detrich yesterday, he's my age and a dinosaur expert, His slides and stories of finding huge bones, something to export. He said the quote, "Do what you love--you'll never work again", This sounds attractive...like the bowler able to knock down pin #10. I have 10 years to experiment until I meet ochenta y dos, Aligning my wife and life to do what I love...hope to get close. Dave Hale 10/5/2019

AuthorDave likes to put together words to make poems. Sometimes the rhythms are great and sometimes they are a stretch. Either way they will make you think, make you laugh, make you wonder what's going on with Dave. :) Archives
