I stopped by to read a poem to a friend--an act of Chivalry,
My friend's assistant said she wasn't in--she was awaiting a delivery. "I didn't know she was pregnant" was my immediate reply, This conversation had just taken a turn--I don't know why. Have you ever thought you knew something, and you were wrong? This idea alone is the subject of many a novel and song. Edgar Allen Poe's "A Telltale Heart" speaks of a mind's imaginings, Sounds that aren't really there make for insanity's establishings. Or, on another note, does it surprise you to realize anew, That something you didn't think you knew, actually is true? What is or what isn't can change pretty fast, This moment's reality sometimes isn't meant to last. There are some things locked down, they are set in stone, Gravity works every time unless into outer space you roam. Today is Friday, as I remember Joel Osteen's book, "Make Every Day a Friday" might be a book worth a look. Take captive some new thoughts--allow them to uplift, A seismic move in attitude might occur--a game changing shift. I don't know if I'm glad my friend is not pregnant, It's a touchy subject- I'd better end this mental rant. Dave Hale 4/20/12 Ottawa, Ks hale-agency.com

AuthorDave likes to put together words to make poems. Sometimes the rhythms are great and sometimes they are a stretch. Either way they will make you think, make you laugh, make you wonder what's going on with Dave. :) Archives
