My wife and I are blessed with 5 kids, now ages 49-33,
None are in trouble with the law...all are allowed to roam free. Their abilities are as different as their faces, Their abilities have allowed them to succeed in various places. Even a stranger can tell they are related, my daughters are tall, Both of our sons are K State engineering grads, but alike?---not at all. Though both are well over 6' tall, one is muscular, the younger built for speed, However, neither of them have many entries in the column headed "need". The reason for this poem..the five of them put their heads together to help us celebrate, Our 50th anniversary: a reason to get a cake, lodging for all==2 days labelled "great". They rented a white dress for my wife, sight unseen, (With my wife in it, why it is enough to make a man scream and others green.) Have you ever laughed till you cried, seeing others pursuing a goal? The lawn sliding evolved into bowling, the soapy slipperiness definitely played a role. The 14 grandkids are developing personalities of their own, Laney, the 17 year old, announced she is now a senior (a mature voice tone). There are 9 grandsons, 5 granddaughters..the youngest is 1 year old Dinah, A grin she wears when she haltingly walks, the grin better than anything in China. If your kids want to throw you a party--kindly acquiesce, Instead of stalling or saying no, throw open the possibility door and just say yes!

AuthorDave likes to put together words to make poems. Sometimes the rhythms are great and sometimes they are a stretch. Either way they will make you think, make you laugh, make you wonder what's going on with Dave. :) Archives
