Out west of Chicago, about 4-5 hours by car west of the great river,
Is Ottawa, Kansas, the home of the Great Giver. The Great Giver is an ideal, could be a person who pursues a distant goal, A person who can visualize a great stallion while feeding a foal. These people can give money and many of them do, But they also give of themselves and there are more than a few. When you observe how God uses a small seed to grow a mighty oak, It is easier to imagine the blessings from wearing a yoke. Two can pull three times as much weight as one, a noble thought, An inviting mind can create, then step back, exclaim, "What hath God wrought?" The Great Giver can find fellowship in a university's halls, Good ideas are planted, watered, then blossom inside the walls. People want to support an ideal that is going somewhere needed, Preparing young people to discern the signs--a future heeded. Met a young lady yesterday, a track sprinter, she gushed about her dreams, If she states it, things start to shape up in results, or so it seems. So copycat the Giver--give of yourself, your possibilities, to a world in need, Your imagination will direct your steps in surprising ways after an original seed. Strap on your harness and pull, let inventions and processes flow, Learn from Edison, Fulton and Einstein-- others want to learn what you already know. Dave Hale Ottawa, Ks. Comments are closed.
