Winter Productivity

​A few days each winter--the weather?  Forgetaboutit!
Days that easily separate themselves from weather that's a hit.
The Cold qualifies, then the wind makes for a double team,
Days when it doesn't take long for your fingers to scream.

As i look out from our warm, comfortable coffee table,
I make lists of things to do when the weather is able.
On warm days, the projects seem to flow from one to another,
On cold days, it's more like working with an upset brother.

I pretty much like physical work--it's satisfying getting things done,
If I did it full time to earn a living, from it I would have to run.
There is a huge diff between part time and full time work,
Because you really don't have to finish today, part time allows one to shirk.

In Oct-Nov, I almost daily painted and finished our home,
After selecting colors, the gray and white reminded me of Rome.
Where colors go and how they complement,
Are different from our visitors and how they compliment.

May you be successful as you celebrate winter's cold,
Let's master this season before it makes us all old.
Attitude is huge, I refuse to sit and pout,
Well, lookee there, the sun just came out.
